WHAT IS BEING PROPOSED
The California Department of Transportation proposes to replace the Echo Summit Sidehill Viaduct on U.S. Highway 50 in El Dorado County with a new single-span bridge. The project includes upgrading the existing guardrail to current standards, constructing concrete transition barriers from the new bridge rail to the upgraded guardrail, grinding the asphalt concrete at the bridge approaches and placing a smooth 50 transition from the approaching roadway to the new bridge deck.

Update: SR 89/Fanny Bridge Community Revitalization Project

The Tahoe Transportation District is very pleased to announce that Martin Brothers Construction has been awarded the construction contract in the amount of $30.1 million for the SR 89 / Fanny Bridge Community Revitalization and Dollar Creek Shared-Use Trail Projects. Central Federal Lands Highway Division (CFLHD) is the lead agency for construction, which is scheduled to begin fall 2016 and be completed summer 2018.

Eagle Falls Trailhead Parking Lot at Emerald Bay to Close for Highway 89 Construction

El DORADO:  The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is alerting the public that the Eagle Falls Trailhead parking lot will be closed from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday August 8 to Friday August 12 to accommodate construction on Highway 89 as part of Caltrans stormwater pollution prevention efforts.
